Todmorden train tickets 

The traditional card tickets are quite collectable, and I offer here a selection of tickets relating to Todmorden.

All the tickets are stamped 17 April 1959, and so were presumably given up at Todmorden as the passengers completed their journeys.

The return from Southport Chapel Street is a 3rd Class Day Excursion, and is presumably old ticket stock being used up, as BR formally abandoned 3rd Class on 3 June 1956. All the tickets are marked 'British Transport Commission', except for two which are 'British Railways'.
