Merchant Navy Class 35027 in detail

Mechannt Navy class 35027 'Port Line' was resident on the Bluebelle Railway when I had the opportunity to snap some of the key underframe detail in optimum lighting conditions.

The area between the rear driving wheel and pony truck is full of intricate detail. Note the steam reverser mounted on the footplate, with its copper drain pipe fixed to the side of the ashpan. The linkages to work the ashpan can be seen fore and aft, with the rod connection with the cab. The cloth placed on top of the speedo drive is not a permanent feature.
