LMS Ivatt 2MT 2-6-0 tender loco

There is no evidence of an Ivatt 2MT 2-6-0 tender loco operating at or through Hall Royd Junction (unless you know something we don't!).

However for the model layout there is a rather nice DJH kit-built loco which is too good not to use, and so on a visit to the Great Central Railway at Loughborough on 30 December 2014 the opportunity was taken to conduct a photo survey of the tricky bits under the footplating. Although the light was very good, sadly the temperature was still hovering at freezing, which meant that any steam escaping was immediately visible, so 'good light, shame about the steam!).
