Manchester - Normanton via Todmorden: Littleborough Station bridge - Winterbutlee Tunnel South
The journey starts at Manchester Victoria and follows the Calder Valley mainline of the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway to Normanton via Todmorden using Google Streetview images. Should you use the individual Google navigation tools, and wish to restore the page to its default views, just refresh the page.
As it takes a few seconds for each of the Google maps to be retrieved, the line is broken into sections, and generally these are station-to-station. Each Google Streetview image is presented facing the direction of travel, in this case eastwards - unless otherwise stated.

Littleborough Station bridge
Just before Summit Tunnel proper is a short tunnel which is used by Todmorden Road to cross the railway. This is the view from above the tunnel mouth looking towards Manchester. The River Roch can be seen crossing the line in its aquaduct.

There are no locations available from the northern portal of Summit Tunnel through to Winterbutlee Tunnel, but here is a view of the southern portal of Winterbutlee Tunnel, with the river bridge in the middle distance.
