Hartington Signal Box

8 June 2014

Photo survey of the preserved L&NWR signal box at Hartington on the Tissington Trail on 8 June 2014.

The first photo shows the front of the box. Note the configuration of the signal box steps, which reflects its original location at the end of the Up platform, when the first short flight ended on the platform. This explains the improbably location of the fire bucket hooks.
